iCloud Sync has been described in our previous blog post already, so we will discuss some of the new more visible here.
User Interface Changes
One of the major UI changes is that tapping on the gears-button will now bring up a popup menu to give quicker access to the Settings, Calendars and Share menu:

We've also made common operations require less taps, added subtle animations and streamlined the UI.

Text wrapping
One of the most used views in Week Calendar is the Agenda view, which provides a quick overview of a whole week of events on one screen.
Due to the limited screen size, events longer than 4 words often would get cut-off with an ellipsis (...), making it hard to see what exactly was going on. In Week Calendar 5, we've made it much easier to get an overview of such events by using text wrapping.
Long lines will now wrap over to the next line, so your full event title will be shown. As you can see in the screenshot, "Drive to the airfield with Nadia" is now displayed on two lines, making it possible to directly read the event.

Rolling events options

A great major addition to Week Calendar 4.3 were so-called rolling events, which would roll over to the next day if you did not mark them as completed. In version 5, we've added two very useful and much requested features:
- An icon for not-yet completed rolling events
- advance events with a different interval, e.g. 2 days or 3 weeks.
Export events
A feature we think lots of professional users will really like is the ability to easily export events in common formats, so one can import them into their Excel administration or send them to an accountant:
- tap on the gears icon and pick Share > Export
- Select the file type and fields you want to export
- Tap on Export
- Open the file in another app such as Dropbox or e-mail the file
Events can be exported as:
- Excel 2003 file
- Comma Separated Values file (CSV, Numbers compatible)
- XML file
- iCal file
Print & e-mail events
An often requested feature is to print or e-mail a whole week / month / year of events. In Week Cal 5, this can easily be done by tapping on the gears icon and then use 'Share' > E-mail / Print. All events will directly be printed or attached to an e-mail.

Fullscreen when rotating
With the new 'fullscreen in landscape' option, Week Calendar can now automatically go into fullscreen mode when you turn the device in landscape orientation: both the top and bottom bar will be hidden in landscape for maximum focus.

Integration with other Apps
With Launch Center, you can schedule Week Calendar to be automatically opened via a notification on certain times of the day.
And much more...
Week Calendar features a lot of internal, under-the-hood changes that power a lot of more minor features, as well as iCloud support. We've streamlined the UI of the app and are preparing for integration with a bigger brother of Week Calendar for iPhone soon :)
